Tis the season for all the twinkly lights and Christmas trees to be in all of your holiday brunch photos! The pandemic hasn’t stopped the holiday cheer. There are more igloos popping up around Pittsburgh than I have ever seen. So, grab your quarantine crew and check out these holiday themed restaurants for brunch!
If you want to keep the party going after brunching, check out the 2020 Downtown Pittsburgh Holiday Cocktail Trail!
Fir Junction
Garfield
Not every pop up includes brunch on the menu, but be on the lookout for Fir Junction’s food menu by Wild Child. This pop up is decked out with wintry flair. On the menu, you can find gnocchi, schnitzel, s’mores and more.
Coughlin’s Law
Mt. Washington
Coughlin’s Law has some incredible cocktails, especially their winter menu. (I’m obsessed with Hot Buttered Rum cocktails right now.) On the weekends, Coughlin’s Law’s brunch menu includes avocado tostadas, pancake boards, and carnitas benedict. For the holiday season, Coughlin’s Law has an elf on the shelf contest. The first person to find him wins a special holiday gift!
The National Aviary
North Side
A unique brunch experience! The National Aviary is getting festive and selling tickets for their special occasion brunch. You can sip mimosas and enjoy their yummy food menu, which features Firecracker Chicken & Waffles, Smoked Mozzarella Ravioli, Vegan Grilled Cheese Stack, and more.
Jingle Bar
Downtown
It’s not exactly brunch, but this pop up has a fun atmosphere you have to check out. Jingle Bar has a few Holiday Cocktail specials and of course snacks, but the main attraction is the decor.
Casbah
Shadyside
Casbah has some cozy decorations to warm your soul during this cold winter spell. Their Sunday Brunch menu is back for dining in, so check out their prix fixe brunch menu, which includes an app, an entree, and a brunch cocktail!
Eleven
Strip District
Eleven has an amazing prix fixe brunch menu with scrumptious entrees – Prosciutto Cotto, Caramelized Onion, & Cheddar Omelet, Polenta Waffle, Sticky Buns, and everything in between. Step inside their cozy, decorated space before or after shopping around the Strip District.
The Foundry
North Shore
It’s getting festive in the North Shore! The Foundry has a few holiday decorations to get you in the spirit and they have a delicious brunch menu!
Bridges & Bourbon
Downtown
While Bridges & Bourbon doesn’t have a dedicated brunch menu, don’t leave them off your list this holiday season. Their igloos are ready for the holidays so you can reserve a seat outdoors and enjoy some of their Christmas decor. A must-try on their menu is the bacon-jerky appetizer. And, of course, the Appalachian Cocktail is a winter favorite.
The Commoner
Downtown
The Biergarten rooftop might be closed for the season, but The Commoner is still in full swing. They have a variety of delicious sandwiches, brunch classics, and my personal Pittsburgh favorite – the PGH Breakfast (grilled ribeye, fried eggs, pierogies, caramelized onions) Also, if you’re looking for a staycation, Hotel Monaco has a “suite yo self” deal, so you can book one of their holiday decorated rooms!
Bob’s Garage
Blawnox
Okay, this is not exactly brunch, but it is the best festive restaurant in Pittsburgh! Bob’s Garage doesn’t hold back with the Christmas decorations. You absolutely cannot end the holiday season without stopping by this festive dive bar.
