The back patio was the perfect spot to host a brunch with friends, especially for a birthday!
The Neighborhood
Lawrenceville has so many brunch options. If you haven’t been to Muddy Waters Oyster Bar’s Bloody Mary bar, do yourself a favor and add it to your brunch list. Among the amazing brunch specials, right on the corner, sits the most unique gem of a restaurant, Round Corner Cantina.
The Ambiance
The corner restaurant has a Latin American vibe. When you first walk in, you can’t miss the bar. It’s the main focus against the tiled floors and patterned wall paper, but you shouldn’t stop here. The patio in the summertime is the main highlight. On the way to the back, you might be tempted to sit in one of the beautiful pink booths, but keep going.
The back patio has several high top tables, a chalet with fabulous turquoise barstools, and a cabana with spacious sofas.
The back wall of the restaurant has a stunning backdrop of a Latin American style mural. The colors make the perfect instagram backdrop.
The Brunch
Because I had a large group, we ordered all the food. We started with guacamole, queso, and a bottle of champagne for mimosas, of course. (You can order a bottle of champagne that comes with orange juice, so you get to decide the ratio!) The chips were fresh and perfectly salted. The guacamole had a touch of spice and you can never go wrong with queso.
Following apps, I tried their Tijuana Street Dog. Friends, the hotdog is wrapped in BACON. It’s incredible. For dessert, the churros and chocolate melts in your mouth.
